The Big 12 Conference has announced its Preseason All-Big 12 Team as well as honors for preseason player, freshman and newcomer of the year for the 2017-18 women's basketball season. The awards are chosen by head coaches, who are not allowed to vote for their own student-athletes. 

Kalani Brown (Baylor) was selected as the Preseason Player of the Year for the first time in her career. A pair of Texas Longhorns picked up individual honors as Chasity Patterson was tabbed the Preseason Freshman of the Year and South Carolina transfer Jatarie White was named the Preseason Newcomer of the Year.

Joining Brown on the Preseason All-Big 12 Team are Kaylee Jensen (Oklahoma State), Ariel Atkins (Texas), Brooke McCarty (Texas) and Tynice Martin (West Virginia). All five honorees were also named to last season's All-Big 12 First Team at the conclusion of the regular season.
